Blackening Chemical

Blackening Chemicals For Metalworking is a new revolutionary development in cold black finishing. It will impart jet black conversion coating to steels, cast iron and other ferrous metals at room-temperature. VCBLK HB-18 process is easy to do in-house. It is non-caustic, non-splattering, safe, energy saving, fast, dependable and convenient. It increases productivity and lowers labour costs. Finishing can be done anywhere without special equipment, ventilation, heating systems or any complicated control procedures. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED Acid Resistant tanks, containers, tumbling barrels, baskets, hooks and racks must be used with VCBLK HB-18 and derusting tank. Plastic or Rubber lined tanks and plastic-coated hooks and racks are suitable for both VCBLK HB-18 and derusting tanks. Mild steel may be used for degreasing, rinsing & sealant tanks. DIRECTIONS FOR USE 1. Thoroughly clean and degrease the pieces to be blackened in KLN 18. The type and degree of surface soil will determine the length of time and the number of cleaning steps and cleaning temperature (M.S. Tank). 2. Rinse thoroughly in overflowing cold water (M.S. Tank). 3. Surface rust, if present, should be removed following cleaning cycle using RLN 27 at a concentration of 1:1 at room temperature (FRP Tank). 4. Rinse thoroughly in overflowing cold water (M.S. Tank). 5. Immerse the pieces in VCBLK HB-18 solution. VCBLK HB-18 solution is to be diluted with 6 to 12 parts of water depending on alloy and surface, hardness. The immersion time necessary to produce the desired depth of black, is usually one to three minutes. For most parts a dilution of one part VCBLK HB-18 with 9 parts of water would give good results (FRP Tank). 6. Rinse the pieces in overflowing cold water for 30 seconds (M.S. Tank).

PHOSPHATING CHEMICAL

1. ZNP-54 ZINC PHOSPHATING CHEMICAL 2. Generally zinc phosphate conversion coating is used to provide long lasting corrosion protection. Almost all automotive industries use this type of conversion coating. It is suitable for the products come against hard weather conditions. Coating quality is better than iron phosphate coating. It forms 2 - 5 gr/m² coating on the metal surface when used as under paint. Application, set up and control of this process are more difficult than other methods and can be applied by immersion or spray. 3. Organic compounds like nickel and manganese are added to the bath to increase the coating performance. Also activation can be used to form small phosphate crystals on the metal surface before zinc phosphating. 4. Zinc phosphate reaction happens in amorphous shape with gray - black color. 5. pH optimizers are added to accelerate the reaction. Temperature, application time, concentration, pH, total acid and free acid values are the parameters which must be under control. 6. Zinc phosphates, coating range between 7 - 15 gr/m², are used in wire drawing, tube drawing and cold forming industries. Phosphated metal workpieces are prepared to the next stage by application of protective lubricans and soap

DEGREASING CHEMICAL

Bio Degradable Degreasing is an alkaline liquid chemical consisting of surfactants, dispersants and corrosion inhibitors. Bio Degradable Degreasing is a multipurpose cleaning agent, Bio Degradable Degreasing widely used for removal of soils, oils, cutting fluids, stamping, buffing and drawing compounds from ferrous as well as non-ferrous metal surfaces. Bio Degradable Degreasing is easily soluble in water at all proportions and is very safe to use as Bio Degradable Degreasing does not contain any chlorinated solvents, phenols, chromates, nitrites or cresols. Bio Degradable Degreasing is non-toxic. Bio Degradable Degreasing can be used by wipe, immersion or spray in various types of cleaning equipments such as tumblers, vibrators, agitators, power washers, steam cleaners, immersion or agitated tanks, ultrasonic or vapour cleaners etc. Since Bio Degradable Degreasing contains corrosion inhibitors, no rinse is required after cleaning hence Bio Degradable Degreasing cleans and protects simultaneously. Bio Degradable Degreasing Protection period may depend on operating parameters and indoor conditions.

PRE-TRETMENT CHEMICAL

VC AR306 INTRODUCTION : VC AR306 is a powder based activator which is used at low concentrations prior to zinc phosphating. By dipping the parts in VC AR306 bath prior to phosphating, it accelerates the subsequent phosphating process and also refines the structure of the zinc phosphate coating resulting in smooth fine uniform compact coating. PROPERTIES : Colour : White Form : Free flowing powder PH of 0.2-0.3% : 8-9 APPLICATION : VC AR306 bath can be prepared in M.S. or plastic tank/container. It is to be used at 0.2% to 0.3% concentration with water, at room temperature for one minute. The bath should always be kept in a slightly agitated condition by mechanical means or by passing compressed air from the bottom of the tank to avoid settling of the activator at the bottom of the tank. MAINTENANCE OF BATH : Once the bath is prepared, daily addition should be made once during the day. Addition should be made when pH falls below 8. Always maintain pH between 8-9. New bath should be prepared once in week or once in 15 days, depending on the work load. PRECAUTION : 1. Since the product is alkaline in nature always wear PVC/Rubber gloves while handling or working with this product. 2. Any splashes on skin or eyes should be flushed off with plenty of water and thereafter immediately consult physician. 3. Use of eye goggles and apron is recommended. PACKING : 15 Kgs & 50 Kgs.
