- Holika Dahan is a Hindu festival celebrated on the night before Holi. It symbolizes the victory of good over evil and is marked by lighting bonfires to commemorate the legend of Holika and Prahlad.
* Significance
- Holika Dahan is based on the story from Hindu mythology where Holika, the sister of the demon king Hiranyakashipu, tried to burn his son Prahlad in fire. However, due to Lord Vishnu’s divine protection, Prahlad survived while Holika was burned to ashes. This event signifies the triumph of devotion and righteousness over arrogance and evil.
