PCR-01 Powder Coating Remover
- A powder coating remover is a chemical or mechanical solution designed to strip powder-coated finishes from metal surfaces like aluminum, steel, or iron. These coatings are very durable, so removing them usually requires strong chemicals or abrasive methods.
* Types of Powder Coating Removers
1. Solvent-Based Chemical Strippers
- Very effective at breaking down tough powder coating resins
- Often contain methylene chloride or other strong solvents (some regulated due to toxicity)
- Require PPE: gloves, goggles, proper ventilation.
2. Caustic-Based Strippers (Alkaline)
- Use sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or similar caustic agents
- Works better on steel, not ideal for aluminum (can cause etching or pitting)
- Usually used in dip tanks. # PCR-01 Powder Coating Remover Manufacturer.
