VCBLK HB-18 Cold Blackening Chemical
- Cold blackening chemicals are used to create a black oxide finish on ferrous metals (steel, iron, etc.) at room temperature. This process is simpler and safer than hot black oxide, as it does not require heating, but it generally provides lower corrosion resistance unless sealed with oil or wax.
* How Cold Blackening Works
1. Degreasing & Cleaning – Remove oil, grease, rust, and contaminants using an alkaline cleaner or acid bath.
- Rinsing – Use clean water to prevent contamination.
2. Blackening Treatment – Dip parts into the cold blackening solution for 1–5 minutes (varies by manufacturer).
- Rinsing Again – Remove excess chemicals with a water rinse.
3. Sealing – Apply a protective oil, wax, or lacquer to enhance corrosion resistance and durability. # VCBLK HB-18 Cold Blackening Chemical Manufacturer.
