A 3-in-1 phosphating chemical is a single-step pretreatment chemical that performs three functions simultaneously:
1.Degreasing (cleaning)
2.Derusting (removing light rust/oxides)
3. Phosphating (forming a conversion coating)
- It is commonly used in small and medium powder coating plants where a full 7-tank pretreatment system is not available.
* How It Works
- When a metal part is immersed in or sprayed with the 3-in-1 solution:
Surfactants remove oil and grease.
Acidic components dissolve light rust and oxides.
Phosphate chemicals react with the metal surface to form a thin phosphate layer.
