A 3-in-1 phosphating chemical is a metal pretreatment solution that combines cleaning, derusting, and phosphating into a single process. It is commonly used before painting or powder coating to prepare steel surfaces and improve coating performance.
* What does “3-in-1“ mean?
- The chemical performs three functions simultaneously:
1. Cleaning (Degreasing)
Removes oil, grease, dirt, and light contaminants from the metal surface.
Ensures proper contact between the metal and the phosphating solution.
2. Rust Removal
Dissolves light rust and oxidation from steel surfaces.

3. Phosphating
