3 in 1 Phosphating Chemical is a highly efficient, single-stage metal pretreatment solution widely used in industrial metal finishing and powder coating processes. Instead of utilizing the traditional, resource-heavy multi-tank systems, it combines three separate surface treatment functions into one single process step.
(1) Degreasing (Cleaning) – removes oil, grease, and dirt from the metal surface.
(2) Derusting (Pickling) – removes light rust, scale, and oxidation.
(3) Phosphating (Conversion Coating) – forms a phosphate layer on the metal surface that improves corrosion resistance and paint adhesion.
* How It Works
When a steel or iron component is immersed in or sprayed with a 3-in-1 phosphating solution, the chemical:
Cleans contaminants from the surface.
Reacts with rust and metal oxides.
Produces a thin phosphate coating (usually iron phosphate or zinc phosphate based).
* This coating provides:
Better paint adhesion.
Improved corrosion resistance.
Reduced risk of flash rusting before painting.
