Iron Phosphate 3-in-1 Chemical is a pretreatment chemical widely used in powder coating plants. The term “3-in-1“ means that a single chemical performs three functions in one tank:.
1.Degreasing – Removes oil, grease, and light contaminants from the metal surface.
2.Derusting / Cleaning – Removes light rust and oxidation.
3.Phosphating – Forms an iron phosphate conversion coating that improves powder coating adhesion and corrosion resistance
* How It Works
- When metal parts are immersed or sprayed with the solution:
Oils and dirt are cleaned off.
Surface oxidation is reduced.
A thin iron phosphate layer forms on the metal surface.
- This phosphate layer helps the powder coating bond better and increases resistance to corrosion.
* Typical Process
3-in-1 Iron Phosphate treatment
Water rinse
Final rinse (sometimes with passivation)
Drying
Powder coating
Curing.
