SOLVENT BASE PAINT REMOVER PCR-01
A Solvent-Based Paint Remover (also called a paint stripper) is a chemical formulation designed to soften, dissolve, or lift paint coatings from metal, wood, concrete, and other surfaces without extensive mechanical scraping.
* How It Works
- The solvents penetrate the paint film and break the bond between the paint and the substrate. Once the coating softens or blisters, it can be removed using a scraper, pressure water, or brushing.
* Common Components
- Depending on the formulation, solvent-based paint removers may contain:
Organic solvents
Activators and penetrants
Wax additives (to reduce evaporation)
Corrosion inhibitors
Surfactants
- Some traditional formulations used strong solvents such as methylene chloride, while many modern products use alternative solvent systems.
* Applications
- Removing powder coating defects
Stripping old paint from metal parts
Reworking painted components
Industrial maintenance and refurbishment
Automotive paint removal
Machinery and equipment restoration.
* Suitable Surfaces
1. Mild steel
2. Stainless steel
3. Aluminum
4. Cast iron
5. Wood (depending on formulation)
Concrete and masonry
