A powder coat stripping solution is a chemical formulation designed to remove cured powder coating from metal surfaces without significantly damaging the underlying substrate. It is commonly used for rework, restoration, maintenance, and recovering rejected powder-coated parts.
1. Chemical Stripping
The most common method for complex parts.
* How it works:
- The part is immersed in a stripping tank or treated with a stripping solution.
- Powder Coat Stripping Solution PCR-01 chemical softens and breaks down the cured coating.
- Powder Coat Stripping Solution PCR-01 coating loosens, wrinkles, or lifts from the metal surface.
- The residue is rinsed or pressure washed away.
* Suitable Substrates
1. Mild Steel
Usually tolerant of most industrial stripping solutions.
2. Aluminum
Requires carefully formulated products.
Strong alkaline strippers may attack aluminum.
3. Galvanized Steel
Needs controlled chemistry to avoid damaging the zinc layer.
4. Cast Aluminum Parts
Often require specialized low-attack formulations.
